Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the World Underwater Macro Awards (WUMA) platform, you agree to be bound by these terms of service. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use our platform.
These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and WUMA.
Eligibility Requirements
To use our platform, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Provide accurate and complete information during registration
- Be the original photographer of submitted images
- Own all intellectual property rights to your submissions
- Comply with competition rules and regulations
User Account
Responsibilities
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account
- You must protect your password and not share it
- You are responsible for all activities under your account
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
Prohibitions
- Creating multiple accounts to defraud the system
- Sharing your account with other people
- Using false or misleading information
- Impersonating another person
Competition Submissions
Ownership and Rights
By submitting photographs to the competition, you:
- Warrant that you are the original author and hold all rights
- Grant WUMA the non-exclusive right to display, reproduce, and promote your images
- Retain all copyrights to your photographs
- Authorize the use of your images for promotional purposes (gallery, social media, exhibitions)
- Agree that your images will be credited with your name
Submission Limits
Maximum 5 images per category per photographer. You can participate in multiple categories.
Important
Any submission containing non-original elements, AI-generated content, or violating copyright will be disqualified. Excessive manipulations are prohibited.

Entry Packages
Early Bird Pricing (January 19 - February 28, 2026)
- 3 Photos: $15 USD
- 10 Photos: $35 USD
- 20 Photos: $55 USD
Regular Pricing (March 1 - April 30, 2026)
- 3 Photos: $18 USD
- 10 Photos: $45 USD
- 20 Photos: $65 USD
Spotters & Local Guides (FREE)
3 Photos FREE - No financial barriers, pure talent recognition!
Additional photos can be purchased at standard rates if needed.
Add Extra Pictures (One-time purchase only)
If you need more photos after your initial purchase:
Early Bird:
- +10 Photos: $25 USD
- +20 Photos: $40 USD
Regular:
- +10 Photos: $30 USD
- +20 Photos: $45 USD
⚠️ Extra pictures can only be purchased once per competition entry.
Payment Information
- All prices are in USD (United States Dollars)
- Payments are processed via secure platforms (Airwallex)
- International credit cards accepted - conversion handled automatically
- Fees are non-refundable once submission is validated
- Prices include all applicable taxes
Refund Policy
Refunds are only granted in case of competition cancellation by WUMA. Technical errors during payment can be reported within 48 hours.
Prohibited Conduct
It is strictly prohibited to:
- Submit images containing illegal, offensive, or inappropriate content
- Use the platform for spam, phishing, or fraudulent activities
- Attempt to access other users' accounts
- Exploit security vulnerabilities
- Manipulate votes or rating systems
- Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
- Violate intellectual property rights
⚠️ Any violation of these rules may result in account suspension or deletion, disqualification of submissions, and legal action.
Limitation of Liability
WUMA disclaims all liability concerning:
- Service interruptions or technical problems
- Data loss due to technical errors
- Disputes between users
- Jury decisions (final and without appeal)
- Indirect or consequential damages
The platform is provided "as is" without guarantee of continuous availability. We strive to maintain quality service but cannot guarantee 100% uptime.
Intellectual Property
All elements of the WUMA platform (design, logo, texts, code) are protected by copyright and belong to WUMA or its partners.
You are not authorized to reproduce, distribute, or modify these elements without prior written permission.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, without prior notice, in case of violation of these terms or for any other reason we deem appropriate.
You may also close your account at any time by contacting us. Account closure will automatically withdraw all your submissions from the competition.
Changes to Terms
We may modify these terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated by email. Your continued use of the platform after modification constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by international laws applicable to photography competitions. Any dispute will be resolved amicably or, failing that, before competent courts.
